The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes traffic jams, long queues at restaurants, and bustling crowds everywhere. But did we let that stop us? Absolutely not! At Altitude Games, we know the value of face-to-face connections, so we braved the holiday frenzy to come together for our Co-Work and Year-End Party.
Our Co-Work was held at Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila, nestled near the vibrant streets of Pasay and the largest mall in the Philippines. The festive atmosphere added a magical touch to our gathering, blending productivity with holiday cheer.
The day kicked off with a team assembly, where we came together to align and collaborate.
Julien set the tone with a heartfelt motivational video message that reflected on the year’s achievements and challenges while inspiring us to gear up for what’s ahead.
This was followed by a roadmap presentation, unveiling exciting plans, upcoming features, and key insights to guide our next steps.
Next, we held team discussions to review progress, address concerns, and ensure everyone was aligned.
Of course, no event is complete without swag! Our team received brand-new Altitude Games T-shirts in blue, filling us with pride and a renewed sense of belonging.
Lunch was a delightful buffet spread, giving us the chance to relax, catch up, and share a few laughs. Some of us even got competitive with a fun game during the break—because who doesn’t love a little play to balance the work?
Post-lunch, we dove into playtests, where team members provided valuable feedback to ensure project quality. The discussions resumed as we fine-tuned roadmaps, incorporated feedback, and finalized plans for the upcoming quarters.
Before transitioning to the evening festivities, we enjoyed plated snacks and took a commemorative group photo—a snapshot of a productive and collaborative day.
As night fell, the buzz grew louder because our Year-End Party had a theme that thrilled everyone: Dress to Impress Cosplay! Team members unleashed their creativity by dressing up as their favorite characters, adding a playful and personal touch to the celebration. And, of course, there were prizes for the best-dressed!
The festivities began with an icebreaker game that got everyone laughing and moving. Five lucky winners showcased their talents and took home prizes.
The live band kicked off their first set, filling the room with music and setting the perfect vibe for the evening. In between, we participated in three fun games that got everyone involved:
The first game of the evening was the “Sorting Candies Challenge.” Watching everyone dive into this colorful frenzy was a treat. The goal was simple but hilariously tricky—sort the candies by color as quickly as possible. The energy was high, and the competitive spirit was even higher!
Next up was the “Sweet Shot Challenge.” The game was as thrilling as it was hilarious—participants had to shoot candies into a cup from a distance. It sounded simple, but trust us, precision and a steady hand were essential.
The room was filled with cheers and playful banter as candies flew in every direction. Some landed perfectly in the cup, while others… well, let’s just say they had minds of their own! It was so much fun watching teammates cheer each other on, with everyone determined to land that perfect shot.
The “Calamansi Relay” was our final game. The crowd was electric, cheering on their teammates as calamansi wobbled dangerously and spoons swayed with every step.
Every participant gave it their all, from fast sprints to carefully calculated baby steps. The tension peaked during the final stretch, with two teams neck and neck, and the entire room erupting in cheers.
Each game brought out the competitive spirit, and the winners walked away with exciting prizes!
The excitement didn’t stop there. We had a raffle draw, where lucky team members won amazing goodies like cash, gift cards, gadgets, and more. We proudly acknowledged the winners of the Best in Costume awards, celebrating their exceptional creativity and effort. Their costumes not only showcased their unique styles but also brought an extra spark of fun and excitement to the event.
The highlight of the night? The costume showcase, where team members flaunted their creative outfits, adding an interactive and entertaining element to the evening.
After dinner, the band returned for their second set, creating a relaxed atmosphere for socializing. Luna took the stage to deliver heartfelt closing remarks, celebrating a successful year and inspiring us to embrace the opportunities ahead.
As the live band played their final set, team members joined in, singing along and soaking up the festive vibes. Drinks flowed, conversations sparked, and the evening unfolded with laughter and camaraderie.
The party wrapped up just before midnight, marking the end of a fantastic celebration and leaving us all feeling grateful, motivated, and ready to tackle the next chapter together.
As we look back on our achievements and gear up for an exciting new year, we are reminded of the strength of our team and the joy of coming together. Cheers to another incredible year at Altitude Games!
